Hello everyone! By 9th of September, everyone of y'all are going to submit a piece of coloured paper, decorated nicely with your life purpose statement written aptly and I-love-God-for-all-He's-worth-ly. (:But, of course, being absent/not bothering to take notes/not bothering to bother like all teenagers normally are, here are several things to take note of when you write your life purpose statement:
What are God's purposes for my life?
1.You were planned for God's pleasure. Where is your heart of worship? Are you best friends with God? Are you doing things that are making Him smile?
2. You were formed for God's family. How concerned are you about fellowship in your church? Are things fine with your fellowship with God, your church members, and your friends?
3. You were created to become like Christ. Have you been growing in character, or in other words, becoming more like Christ? How have you dealt with temptation? Have you allowed yourself to be transformed by the truth that is the Word?
4. You were shaped for serving God. How well do you know yourself (i.e. your abilities, your strengths and weakness, your tendencies and habits, your passions and pastimes), and how far will you apply this in your service to God?
5. You were made for a mission. Evangelising — need I say more??
What is a Life Purpose Statement?
It's a statement that summarises God's purpose for your life, points the direction of your life, defines "success" for you, clarifies your roles in life, and expresses your uniqueness (SHAPE: Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personalities, Experiences).
What do you want to do for God? Will your life be about church, about service, about evangelising, or about the very special calling he has called for you and you alone? Or will it about each and every one of the five purposes mentioned above?
Remember to make sure your life purpose statement will be able to answer any of the following questions: What will be the center of my life? What will be the character that I'll embody? What will be the contribution that I'll make? How will I communicate the Good News to others? What kind of community will I immerse myself in?
Here's an example: "My goal is Christlikeness; my family is the church; my ministry is in praise and worship, and I believe that he wants to send me to the workplace to share how Christ has changed my life. I also received a calling from God to write songs that will express my love for God. But whatever it is, my motive in doing all of this, will be for the glory of the Lord of Lords."
Remember to decorate your coloured paper nicely! I'll laminate it nicely for all of y'all to paste it on your bedroom wall or door, haha. The best decorated paper and best written piece will be given a lovely prize each. So if you win both categories, kudos to you! See you all this Saturday...

okay well. i wanted to say something but i forgot cause i burst out into laughter at the end of a conversion with a friend on the phone who's well. not online now. but well yeah.
she told me she had this terapin named "dinasour". so i asked her where she bought it and she was like "oh from that fish farm economics/buisness stuides excursion thing". so cool la! (: then after that i was like "so why name it dinasour?" then she told me "cause i like Barney and Barney is a dinasour from our imaginations..."
then after that i burst out laughing and i couldn't think of anything else the whole day. :D HAHA.
SILLY ALISA. YOU'RE USELESS AT HOLDING IT IN YOU KNOW. well, its one simple sentence that brings like laughter to me somehow? haha. silly old you alisa! >.< oh well. haha. anyway.
okay well yeah. today was kinda. funny. haha yeah.
went to this old folks' home for NYAA service hours. :D HAHA. then like my class was like performance after performance and cause lot of them are like from japan and vietnam so they dont know how to speak chinese and like half of the songs were chinese. so my other friend had this idea for them to like sway.
sounds like in a JAY CHOU concert like everyone waving light sticks. like great fans or something. HAHA. out of point. dehhhh. haha kidding. anyway yeah.
well half of them were hokkien and i dont know how to speak any language except english, chinese and a LITTLE TINY bit of korean learnt from watching korean dramas.
well yeah thats another reason why i couldn't think much today cause.
JIA YOU JIN SHUN LAST EPISODE WAS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ): so sad la. but zai xi & jin shun got married! most impt. haha. and lived happily ever after.. HAHA.
anyway yeah. hmm okay well.
sometimes you don't really know what can bring people a smile. actually. well. if like i'm okay and all anything can bring me a smile cause i was already born that way since young i was already like that. haha. you just can't change this kinda stuff can you. i dont know. my sister always claims i laugh a lot when i laughed for JUST 3 mins or so? i dont know. not like continuously, but yeah. URGHHH it reminds of something embarrasing/shocking, but oh well.
hmm okay. but well, at the end of it, what brings old people a smile?
more like your time and effort to talk to them in your limited ability of using your chinese language to communicate. well. yeah. several could speak english which is quite good already! (: haha. at the end of it its nice to see old people smile. (: and your effort to put together a great um. great *correct word! come to me now!*. great performance. hmm no wait. *correct word come to me now! haha* *thinks* great PROGRAMME (: ahhh haha. magical powers. NAH, JUST KIDDING (:! HAHAHAHAHHA.

and you know something?
sometimes in life, well i dont know if a lot of times. but we'll feel like we're in this ditch and there's no way out. well thats why God gave us brains you know! (: think of something. it'll get you out. (: and like you'll realize, its just life's way of telling you that its useless being sad and upset during this "waiting period" of trying to get out of the ditch. think of God's love for you. think of other people around you who love you.. and be happy for it all (: and that'll help you be happy to think of something, which will help you get yourself outta your ditch.
perharps, rather, its like. life's way of saying that "you know when we think no one really cares, someone that exists on earth really does, and what more, GOD REALLY DOES (: and loves you so."

these are the 10 reasons why i dont like the word crush.
1. it has too many interpretations. mostly people say that to have a crush on someone is to have an attraction to his/her outward appearance. like, "ive got a huge crush on jae, i meann, jay chou. you dont know the person personally. some people however, like to take the word crush and use it as a term which means "like". when i say i "like" i mean you know the person reasonably well enough to make an unadulterated judgement that he/she is a good person. and you find yourself thinking about that person. also, it can be used to mean squash,break, pound,pulverise, destroy, obliterate, cripple, hurt, maul, humiliate, put down, shame, etc. basically, i dont like the word crush because not everyone has the same understanding of the extent and weight of the word (when in comes to talking about infatuation and love that is).
2. i dont like it because its gay. its gay. can you imagine any guy saying that he has a crush on someone? heavens no! i would say "she's hot!" or "yeah, not bad la. sparkly big eyes that only God could have made, cheek bones as high as everest, jaw as dangerous as a shark, dresses like she writes urban. mile long straight and toned legs, impeccable complaction....." or perhaps say "eh you remember mary? she's nice ah. what school she from?". BUT to say i crush mary. is just way outta my line man. haha.
3. why not use infatuated instead. it makes you sound smarter.
4. crush is just such a low level thing! it doesnt even deserve to have a word dedicated to it. like why isnt there a word for "i told you so". there needs to be words for phrases like these. like AIYA. thats a good word. it represents frustrations of ones own stupidity (when accompanied by a smack on own forehead) and represents frustrations with another's stupidity (when accompanied by a smack on the persons forehead) or dissapointment with certain situation. many meanings, but you'll get it when you're in the situation itself (unlike the word crush).
5. adults use it. when cool words get picked up by adults, it just SUDDENLY becomes uncool. like if your mom kept using the word ownage.. instead of being proud, you'd feel strange right. haha. and when all the adults like your teachers and speakers and everyone starts using it, it just DOESNT work out any more. its like blogging. ever since adults started having blogs and talking about using blogs to promote this and that, to blah blah, people have STOPPED blogging as much as they used to.
6. the 666 wants you to be distracted from REAL THINGS by "crushes" and crushes arent meant to take up the bulk of your conversation with each other. dang. its fun for awhile but too much. even the devil would puke.
7. 777 doesnt want you to waste time that you can spend with him on thinking about that cute guy you just met through your friend's brother's 2nd sister.
8. the 888 wont let you get lucky if you dont already have her number.
9. the 999 would catch you if you spy on her.
10. 10 10 10 10. ten ten ten ten. no it wouldnt be cool if you were married.

okay. today was.
TOALLY EMBARRASING.
i wonder why i take lit (still). i mean i love the subject like anything but.
URGH! this is so EMBARRASING. >.< no seriously. i feel like screaming or something. reminds of me the megalife service we had the "Sy-Rogers Imitation" contest. haha. not too long ago, but i forogt when.
BUT ANYWAY!
you know what's so embarrasing.
its like, my teacher says there's roleplay for lit class next week.
she choose this tall guy called Joel to act as Macbeth.
and then, she called me.
and Joel was like "WHAT?!" kinda thing. as in like. i don't know how to say it. yeah. he and i don't get along well, like honestly.
but anyway. then my teacher was like, "No Joel i didn't mean that! (his name is Joel). i meant Alisa act as Macbeth as well, the same scenes as you."
i was like.
WHAT THE. WHAT THE. WHAT THE.
then later she called a GUY to act as LADY MACBETH.
and you know what the scene for my dramatization thingie is?
"is that a dagger i see before me...."
its somewhere in Act 1 Scene 7 if you read the book. (:

emo, serious scene and if you know me well.....
AHH MY GOSH i can't do this. i swear i have to approach her and tell her i can't.

my gosh my gosh my gosh.
okay.
then today, i met up with some old band mates.
well..before joining megalife w&m ministry, i was part of the PARTS (Performing ARTS) ministry in SYFC (Singapore Youth For Christ). like we do dances and skits and songs for missions. haha that was like my first ever mission trip and i felt super sad on the second last day cause i just received my terrible PSLE results. i'll never forget that, haha. ANYWAY! yeah. we organized like christmas performances too. like go to Raffles Place (where they usually take the news) and play christmas songs during christmas and.. share the gospel (:! haha. it was quite fun.
but it became something i had to sacrifice so that i could make time to commit to w&m ministry..
so the band is not like putting up performances anymore but we still talk on the phone, on msn. some of us still meet a little often like i just met this guy from Barker called Roy 3 weeks ago? cause he came to my school carnival. yeah.
and then. tonight i met people i haven't met for at least 2 years.
WOAH. that feels likes long. we had this SUPER big conversion about lame stuff.
this guy called Gordon from TJC was like "ouii. we'all order Mos Burger right. then when they ask you 'eating here or taking away?' then you reply 'eating there' and point to your seat. *WHAT THE HECK* then after that gordon was like "or you bring your chair to them and say 'eating here' and then you sit down" once again, *WHAT THE HECK*
he's some joker la, super lame guy. but he's really cool.
so yeah.
then after that, we had this SUPER LONG discussion on EMO.
feeling emo and all.
actually yeah. details not needed to be included in this post, but yeah.
joke a lot, but talk a lot too..
ahh. my gosh.
can you imagine what it'll be like, one day, when we're all in JC/POLY, and we meet up..

it'll be fun. really.
this meeting today wasn't the first, but the second, and it still holds the fond memories of every band member though not EVERY member was present. and, it was even more fun joking around with people like Gordon and Roy. haha.
yeahh and i realized two common things i always say:
"im okay."
"you very bad you know!"
(but the second one, i have a purpose for saying it)
(cause NO OFFENCE but some guys are like really like to suan people type one, not from this cell, not from megalife, super mean okay)
